Day 1:    Arrival at Athens

Meet at Athens Airport and transfer to the hotel. Athens is the Capital of Greece and the Historical Capital of Europe having a long history dating from the first settlement in the Neolithic age. Over the years, a multitude of conquerors occupied Athens, and erected unique, splendid monuments - a rare historical milieu. Today, it has become an attractive modern metropolis with unrivalled charm.

A large part of the town’s historic centre has been converted into a 3-kilometre pedestrian zone (the largest in Europe), leading to the major archaeological sites reconstructing to a large extent the ancient Greek landscape. Enjoy the evening walking through this heritage site.

Day 2:    Full day experience of Athens

After breakfast pickup from the hotel for a half day morning tour. See Syntagma Square, the House of Parliament, The Memorial to the Unknown Soldier, the Athens Academy, the University, the National Library and the Hadrian’s Arch. Pass by the Temple of Olympian Zeus and visit the Panathenaic Stadium where the first Olympic Games of the modern era were held in 1896.

On the Acropolis visit the architectural masterpieces of the Golden Age of Athens: the Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Erechtheion and finally the Parthenon - the harmony between material and spirit.

Continue and visit the place where at last the statues found their home and admire the wonders of the classical era, the museum of Acropolis (Mondays closed). At the end of the tour, drop off at the hotel or at the city centre. Remainder of the day at own leisure. Overnight stay at Athens.

 

Day 3:    Depart to Mykonos Islands

After breakfast, transfer to the Athens Port of Piraeus and take the Ferry boat to the island of Mykonos. Meet at Mykonos port and transfer to the hotel. Enjoy the day at leisure strolling on the busy streets of the island.

Mykonos is famed as a cosmopolitan destination amongst the Greek islands and the Aegean. It is a stunningly picturesque Cycladic town with a maze of tiny streets and whitewashed steps lanes, houses and churches, gathered around its harbour in the middle of a wide bay. Overnight stay at Mykonos.

 

Day 4:    Full day experience of Mykonos

After breakfast, roam around watching The Windmills, existing from as early as the 16th century, the windmills are one of the most recognized landmarks of Mykonos. Later visit Little Venice, A famous for its picturesque medieval two and three storey houses, which stand like a wall above the sea, and their colourful wooden balconies. Little Venice is one of the most beautiful and romantic places in the whole of Mykonos and offers a fantastic sunset. Later visit the very impressive Church of Panagia Paraportiani. This whitewashed church, a true Byzantine jewel dates back to 1425. Also watch Petros the Pelican, the island's mascot, can sometimes be found at the waterfront or even up in town. In the evening enjoy the famous night life of the island. Overnight stay at Mykonos.

 

Day 5:    Depart to Santorini Islands

After breakfast, transfer to Mykonos port and take the Speed Boat to the island of Santorini. Meet at Santorini port and transfer to the hotel.

Santorini is one of the great natural wonders of the world, and its main attraction is the landscape and seascape of the island itself. The configuration of the present, roughly semicircular island is the result of an enormous volcanic explosion which occurred in 1600 BC. In the afternoon visit Akrotiri a roughly 3,500 year old Minoan town preserved in volcanic ash like Pompeii, is one of Santorini's must-sees.

Enjoy your evening at the resort. Overnight stay at Santorini.

 

Day 6:    Full day experience of Santorini

Breakfast at the hotel. Visit traditional architecture in the small village of Mesa Gonia containing a mixture of ruins and restored villas. Pyrgos is another notable village set inland with its grand old houses, remains of a Venetian castle and several Byzantine churches. Later visit Fira is the fiery capital, a marriage of Venetian and Cycladic architecture, whose white cobblestone streets bustle with shops, taverns, hotels and cafes. In the evening, visit the very beautiful Oia, with its whitewashed walls sunk into the volcanic rock and its blue domes rising above the sterling beauty of the stunning Ammoudi Bay. At dusk, the town attracts crowds of people venturing to see the sunset. Santorini's sunsets viewed from Oia, are reputed to be among the World’s most beautiful. Return back to the resort in the evening. Overnight stay at Santorini.

 

Day 7: Depart to Athens

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Santorini port and take the Ferry boat to Athens. Meet at the Athens port of Piraeus and transfer to the hotel.

Stroll around the City and explore the traditional markets for shopping. Enjoy the nightlife at Athens in the late evening. Overnight stay at Athens.

 

Day 8: Drop at Athens Airport

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport for departure to your Hometown.
